Talking to children about body safety is not always an easy conversation to have, but one that is necessary in the world we live in to protect our children from sexual harm. I Have a Little Secret can be used as a tool to ignite those uncomfortable conversations with children abo...ut body boundaries, personal safety, and establishing a safety network that they can turn to for help. The book aims to empower children, through protective education and communication, to find their voice, and reassure them that body secrets should never be kept secret.

Heart of Gold relates to Alexandra Worth on a personal level as it recounts the events that occurred during her journey of open heart surgery, who is represented by the main character Anna. Anna is a young girl enjoying life and trying to make the most of everything she loves to ...do in life although she tires very easily. Her mother becomes concerned of the unusual health symptoms Anna is showing and takes her to see a doctor for a check-up. By listening through a stethoscope, the doctor notices a heart murmur and at that point, everything comes to a standstill. A long, hard journey is about to begin for Anna and her family. A few days after the appointment, Anna goes to have an MRI scan referred by her doctor. She goes into a big tunnel where the MRI machine takes photos of her heart. Later that day, accompanied by her family, Anna visits a doctor specialising in the heart called a cardiologist. He delivers the news that her heart is not working properly, meaning that she will require an open heart surgery. After the consultation, Anna starts to think how the surgery is going to go about and what the surgeons will do to fix her heart. Her family tries to keep her as happy as possible. Finally it is the day of her open heart surgery. Anna is admitted to hospital and lays on a bed, where an anaesthetist puts a needle into her arm to make her go to sleep so she will not feel anything during the surgery. Anna is fast asleep not long after the needle and ready for her four-hour open heart surgery. Many noises occurred during the surgery and all the surgeons and nurses are very busy. On completion, the surgeons are very happy with how the surgery went and everyone claps and cheers. It is hard for Anna during the recovery stage, where there are days when she feels happy, and days when she feels sad. She makes many friends whilst in hospital including a girl named Hayley, who also had an open heart surgery. When Anna leaves hospital and starts to get back into her normal ro

By day Frankie is just a lazy cat, but by night he is transformed into Frankie Pants! Frankie Pants is a series of engaging picture books for pre-school and kindy-aged children about the nightly antics of the neighbourhood feline, Frankie, who turns from lazy cat by day to superh...ero by night. Each book starts with the same introduction to Frankie, before moving onto the particular story. The intention is to create a series of books capturing a different scenario for Frankie each time and building the child's love for his character and nightly escapades. The first book in the series is Frankie Pants & Mr Fox. In this book our modern-day hero fights to save the neighbourhood from the dastardly devious Mr Fox. Frankie Pants is written in memory of beloved family cat Frankie, who sadly passed away in late 2017. He was a great friend and loyal companion to Helen's eldest son Alexander, for whom the books are written.

When twins, Luka and Leandra find an abandoned baby fairy at the bottom of their grandparent's garden, they make it their mission to return her to the fairy world. The twins are both imaginative and scientific, and enjoy photographing and observing animals in their backyard. They... are avid readers and from information in a fairy folklore book and handwritten notes and maps, found inside the book and penned by their grandfather, the twins find the door into the Fairy Kingdom. Through information in the manual, they solve the problem of how to care for a new-born fairy. Together they commit themselves to nurture and take care of her until they can return her to the world in which she belongs. The little fairy, although very young and small demonstrates abilities and wisdom far beyond her age. Her human friends realise she is destined for greatness and the need to reunite her with her fairy kin becomes urgent. A growing bond between themselves and the little fairy and a realisation that their grandfather, missing for two years, was the author of the journal and Fairy Manual, compel them to tell their grandmother, locate the door and shepherd the fairy safely into the fairy realm. They discover some of their own family history with the fairies that live in the garden which leads them to believe their grandfather is in the realm. Eventually meeting up with him, the twins are both shocked and excited, then saddened when Grandpa does not return with them to the human-world. The appearance, in the Fairy Kingdom, of a malevolent being, Granwick the mischievous fairy driven by revenge, generates the need, not only for magical intervention but also courage, problem-solving and empathy when relating to friends and those who are not so friendly. The magical elements in the story have clearly defined rules and limitations, and act in the story in much the same way special skills and talents act in the human-world. Magical intervention is not relied on entirely to solve problems fo

Larry Leadbeater is an adorable but rather fussy fairy possum who seriously needs a new home. After losing his 300 year-old tree, Larry's in quite a pickle. Fortunately, he's not alone. A trip to the city and a new friend - the bold and resourceful Clementine - set Larry on a cou...rse to change the world... in a most surprising and unconventional way! Author-illustrator Jo Watson was inspired to incorporate positive change into her work by young people, around the world, stepping up to safeguard our planet. She wanted to write a story that captures their undaunted enthusiasm and sense of purpose. With poignant illustrations and a playful tone, Larry Leadbeater aims to put children and their families in a fixing frame of mind. The story is based on the real-life dilemma of one of Australia's state animal emblems, the critically endangered Leadbeater's Possum (affectionately known as the fairy possum). Money from every book sold will be donated to conservation NFPs working to save the Leadbeater's Possum from extinction. The book is designed to support, inform and celebrate young people's drive to improve their world. It comes with a handy information page and a purpose-built website that will be a hub for kids to learn more about the Leadbeater's Possum, threatened species, and how to go about starting their own projects for change.
