Eleitino Paddy Walker was born in Samoa in 1916 she moved to New Zealand when she was Ten years old, where she lived until her move to Rarotonga 1997. Her accomplishments were many, she was one of the founding members of P.A.C.I.F.I.C.A The women's organisation, Paddy remained a long-time advocate for Pacific Women.
As a member of the Auckland city council she paved the way for Pacific issues on a local and national level, she helped establish the Pacific Island Youth Leadership Trust as well as being a leader in community education.
The movement toward Peace was a passion for Paddy who was a UNICEF leader and created the 'Peace Gardens' concept around the world. In 2009 she was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.
Paddy has written two books and released a CD of Pacific music for children.
