NZ Review |
'This edition of Worldwide Destinations rightly recognises the need to reorient thinking about tourism, placing more emphasis on Southeast Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. It provides an excellent introduction and guided learning tool for students to understand the complexity of the geography of tourism. However, the strength of the book lies in the breadth of case studies it provides that cover the world and the issues tourism influences and is influenced by.' Professor Neil Carr, University of Otago, New Zealand 'This is a textbook which has become a classic for all tourism-related courses. It is not only a comprehensive overview of all types of landscapes and climates but at the same time, a fascinating read on destinations around the world. The features of the 8th Edition, including interactive content and investigation into most current issues, make it a must read!' Dr Barbara Czyzewska, Head of Luxury Marketing and Brand Management Specialization, Glion Institute of Higher Education, Switzerland 'This unique text is required reading for my geography of travel and tourism students. The first part covers the basic principles of tourism and the second half looks at destinations. This is a must-read book for my students.' Professor Stephen Pearl, University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom |
