Author's Bio

David Hair is the author of The Bone Tiki, winner of Best First Book at the 2010 NZ Post Children's Book Awards. The Bone Tiki and its sequel The Taniwha's Tear are fantasy novels set in New Zealand. His latest series The Return of Ravana takes readers to India, blending Indian mythology and fantasy with a cast of young contemporary characters. The first two books in the series have been published in India as well as at home in New Zealand. David has worked primarily in financial services, and also has a degree in history and classical studies. He lived in New Delhi, India, from 2007 to 2010, but has recently returned to Wellington, New Zealand. Apart from writing, he is interested in folklore, history, and has a passion for football.
